Kent Family Lacrosse is rooted in legacy, passion, and a love for the game that spans generations.

 

It all began on the South Shore of Massachusetts, where our mom, Jen Kent, first picked up a lacrosse stick. After a standout playing career at Thayer Academy and Colby College, she quickly established herself as a rising star in the coaching world—winning a state championship at the Hyde School in Maine and later founding the Norwell High School girls lacrosse program, leading the team to back-to-back Massachusetts State Championships in 2004 and 2005.

 

In 2008, Jen brought her vision and leadership to the collegiate level, joining Boston College as a volunteer assistant. Through years of dedication, she helped guide the program to the pinnacle of college lacrosse, winning National Championships in 2021 and 2024. Now serving as the Associate Head Coach, she is a driving force behind one of the top defensive units in the country.

 

Jen’s impact on the game spans more than three decades — but it’s been felt most deeply at home. We grew up on the sidelines — shagging balls at practice, riding team buses, and watching hours upon hours of film in the living room. Being around the game has shaped who we are — not just as athletes and coaches, but as people. Now, we’re proud to carry that legacy forward.

We created Kent Family Lacrosse to bring our shared experience, values, and deep coaching expertise to the next generation of women's lacrosse players. Our goal is simple: 1. to have fun and 2. to develop confident, high-IQ, competitive players through elite instruction.
